The above named parties agree to the following:
SECTION 1. HERITAGE ACADEMY agrees to use its best efforts to:
1. Instill into the minds and hearts of the scholars knowledge of and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, including those who founded the American nation.
2. Provide a structured learning environment in a traditional setting that promotes high scholar academic achievement and effective instruction.
3. Provide scholars with challenging instructional curricula that will enhance their intellectual, social, and emotional development.
4. Emphasize a set of standards for personal responsibility, self-discipline, and self-respect through a strict disciplinary policy and focus on expectations for academic performance.
5. Respond to Parent concerns.
6. Provide opportunities for many educational field trips and American Heritage tours, which will be open to scholars who qualify to participate.
SECTION 2. THE SCHOLAR agrees:
1. To maintain a level of academic performance and conduct that meets or surpasses Heritage Academy standards.
2. To do all work as assigned by the teachers of my classes.
3. To be properly attired according to the required dress policy as established by Heritage Academy.
4. To be on time and attend classes every day that school is in session when in good health.
5. To observe all other established rules and policies as contained in the Scholar/Parent Handbook.
6. I will enter the school with expectations of doing better than I have done in any school before and will improve any behavior or attitude weaknesses, which may prevent me from learning and enjoying the spirit of Heritage Academy.
7. To take an active part in Citizenship classes and activities.
8. To do my part, as assigned, in keeping school facilities clean.
9. To use only positive, uplifting language in any social media when referring to our scholars and teachers.
SECTION 3. THE PARENT agrees:
1. To participate in and assist in Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) activities.
2. To monitor scholar’s progress using PowerSchool online features.
3. To ensure that his/her child is properly attired according to the required dress policy of Heritage Academy.
4. To ensure that his/her child regularly attends school on time when in good health.
5. To support our closed campus policy wherein a scholar must be signed out by parent in order to leave campus.
6. To reimburse Heritage Academy for books, or other school property that his/her child loses or damages.
7. To support all other activities and policies contained in the Scholar/Parent Handbook.
SECTION 4. CONSEQUENCES OF BREACH OF AGREEMENT:
If the Scholar or Parent fails to abide by this Agreement, the scholar’s enrollment may be terminated by the school.
BY SIGNING BELOW, THE PARTIES ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND WILL BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
