A Note from Principal Coleman:
December 21, 2023
Dear Heritage Academy Heroes & Families,
We’ve made it to the first half point of the school year! I am happy to report that your scholars have adjusted very well to new procedures, a new curriculum, and the new “Heritage Way” in this time period. We’ve all been challenged, which is benefitting all of us to be better and achieve more. When we are stretched to do our best, we grow at an even greater rate. Thank you for your support and a great first half of the school year as we look forward to an even better second half.
The involvement of our families and parents has been exceptional adding another layer to the progress of our scholars by creating an enriching school culture and a strong partnership with families that we will continue to develop.
Winter Festival:
I want to thank everyone for coming out to our 1st Annual WinterFest last week. It was a smashing success with a large number of our families and scholars in attendance to join in the WinterFest and Holiday fun! I want to thank all of those who contributed especially, our PTO and our registrar, Andrea Lenhart! Thank you so much to PTO members: Melinda Younan, Valerie Crowner, Maureen and Scott Williams, Jackie Atwell, Diane Najor, Margaret Espinal, and Michelle Cozad for bringing this amazing event to fruition and giving of their time and talent. I also want to extend our gratitude to the Parrott family and their company, Commercial Comm and Electric, Inc. for sponsoring the bounce houses and obstacle course, which were main attractions for our 1st Annual Winterfest!
These kinds of events bring families and communities together to create a partnership between school and families. They stress the importance of family and community and strengthen bonds by impacting our school and scholars in the most positive way. Thank you and stay tuned for more exciting events on the way!
Holiday Scholar Performance
The Holiday Choral Performance was also a success. Thank you to our Music teacher, Ms. Phoebe Perez for working with our scholars and preparing them for this performance. The songs were uplifting and delivered the spirit of the season to all of us through our most precious gifts, our children!
Lost & Found:
We have many items in our “lost and found” if you are missing anything. We have mostly light jackets and sweatshirts. If you are missing anything, have your scholar check the lost and found box in the Café before Christmas Break. It would be helpful to write the name of your scholar on the inside tag, so items can be returned easily. Thank you!
