School Newsletter 02/01 Pinnacle by Andrea Lenhart

A Note from Principal Coleman:

February 1, 2024

Dear Heritage Academy Heroes & Families,

Citizenship Class:  We are studying American Presidents this month in our Citizenship classes as we move closer to the Presidents’ Day holiday in a couple of weeks.  Encourage your children to study and learn about our nation’s Presidents.

State Testing:  AASA State Testing Week (Grades 3-7) is April 8 – April 11.  All testing will be completed on Chromebooks online.  It is never too early to begin reviewing for state testing to feel confident when the testing days arrive!  Here is the link to the practice website https://home.testnav.com/ .  Students should click on “Arizona”, then click on “Mic check and Sample Tests” then “AASA Testing” to view the sample tests.

Reminders

Tardiness:  Heritage Academy tardiness is defined as not being in class in the assigned seat with all things necessary for class to proceed when the bell rings.  We have a strong tardy policy that aims to have our scholars in class on time.  If scholars are missing important instructional time, it will have an adverse effect on a scholar’s grade.  So please make every effort to be on time.

School Lunch Information – My Hot Lunchbox:

You may visit myhotlunchbox.com to order hot lunches.  No outside food (fast food or delivery) is allowed.  The school does not provide a lunch if your scholar forgets.
