Dear Heritage Academy Pinnacle Families,
As we approach the end of the academic year, I wanted to take a moment to inform you of a change in leadership at one of our schools. Before I do that, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the dedication and hard work of Mr. Ray Coleman at the Pinnacle K8 Campus.
At this time, I am pleased to announce Mrs. Leah Jenks as the new Principal at the Pinnacle Elementary Campus. Ms Jenks has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University.
She holds AZ certificates in K-8 Elementary Education, SEI endorsed, K-12 Principal, Middle Grades Science & ELA and has been awarded the 2015 Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching-Arizona winner, 2008 & 2019 NASSP Outstanding Service Project Award
Ms. Jenks has 18 years of experience in progressively more responsible positions in both charter and district schools. Her background in Early Childhood Education is key to this new and expanded role which will also oversee the Liberty Kids Preschool on site. Most recently, she is the Dean of Students at a middle school in the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
Born and raised in Arizona, Ms. Jenks grew up in Tucson and moved to the Valley in 2000.
She will join the Heritage family over the summer. I look forward to introducing her to each of you. I am confident that under her leadership, we will continue to thrive and provide an exceptional educational experience for our Heritage Academy Pinnacle scholars.
